TEAM RESULTS
VERONA, Pa. (March 29) - The Saint Vincent men's golf team opened the spring season by competing in the Carnegie Mellon University Spring Invitational, which was contested at Longue Vue Club and Golf Course.
Saint Vincent third in the team standings in the event, with a team total of 331 under soggy conditions.
Leading the way was
Jimmy Dolan, who claimed a runner-up finish in the event, carding a round of 75.
Nate Yackovich also finished within the Top 10 competitors, as he totaled a round of 79 to finish tied for seventh place.
J.P. Duffy (87),
Zachary Folk (90) and
Richie Rossi (90) also competed in the event for the Bearcats.
Jason Thorp of Thiel College claimed the individual title with a round of 74, just one stroke ahead of Dolan. Point Park earned the team title with a team score of 318.
Saint Vincent returns to competition at the CMU Shootout on April 7-8. The event will be held at The Links at Spring Church.
