FULL RESULTS
The Saint Vincent men's golf team finished third among seven schools in the Doug Rogers Memorial, hosted by the Bearcats at Champion Lakes in Bolivar.
Washington & Jefferson took top honors with a team score of 313, followed by Grove City (318) and the Bearcats "Gold" team (322). Rounding out the field were La Roche (325), Westminster (341), SVC's "Green" team (341), Thiel (345) and Kent State-Tuscarawas (348).
Jake Darr of W&J was the individual medalist, shooting a round of 70 (35-35), one under par. Ben Mullins of La Roche was the runner up, shooting 74.
Individually,
Brendan Shaughnessy had the low score for the Bearcats, finishing 6th with a round of 79.
J.P. Duffy was 8th, shooting 80, tied with
Richie Rossi, who was playing for the SVC Green team.
Finishing tied for 13th were
Nate Yackovich and
Ryan Owrey (81),one stroke ahead of
Zach Wyatt (82). Also competing for the Bearcats were
Jimmy Dolan (88),
Zachary Folk (88),
Brandon Silvis (92) and
Ben Firestone (98).
SVC will be back in action on Sunday (April 22) in a tri-match against Thomas More and Washington & Jefferson, as the teams prep for the April 28 PAC Championship at Oglebay Resort.
