The Saint Vincent men's and women's golf teams competed in a tri-match with Washington & Jefferson and Thomas More Colleges at Oglebay Resort, a tuneup for the upcoming Presidents' Athletic Conference Championships.
Thomas More took top honors in the women's event, with a team score of 346. The Bearcats were second at 359, while W&J had a team score of 367.
Sara Jackie of Thomas More had the low round, shooting 82. For the Bearcats,
Sydney Ball led the way with a round of 85, one stroke better than teammate
Maddie Leya.
Meg Birmingham shot 89, while
Sara Norton finished with 99.
Angela Bialas ended the round at 106.
On the men's side, Thomas More finished at 308, led by Zack Baynum's 73. W&J had a team score of 318, with SVC finishing third with a round of 351.
Nate Yackovich had the low score for the Bearcats (80), while JP Duffy shot 81.
Zach Wyatt finished at 96, while
Richie Rossi shot a round of 96.
The Presidents' Athletic Conference Championship will conclude this Saturday (April 28) with a single round at Oglebay. Two rounds of the three-round tournament took place in the fall.
