The Saint Vincent men's basketball team collected a last second 69-68 Presidents' Athletic Conference win over Thiel.

Trailing by two points, SVC's Andrew Reed made a clutch three-point shot at the buzzer to help the Bearcats men's basketball team earn a 69-68 road victory.

The Bearcats trailed, 68-66, with 8.7 seconds remaining in the game when Reed received the inbounds pass and connected on the game-winning three as time expired.
David Stephen led SVC with 17 points. Shemar Bennett finished with 16 points and 9 rebounds.

Thiel controlled the game early in the first half, taking a 15-9 lead at the 14:51 mark. However, following a Stephen three, SVC's Ryan Dutton scored to put the Bearcats ahead, 16-15.
Both teams went back-and-forth with the lead until a free-throw by SVC's Tom Kromka put SVC up, 33-32 with 4:33 left in the half. Stephen scored with 42 seconds remaining to give SVC a 40-35 lead heading into halftime.

In the second half, Thiel used a 13-2 run to take a 48-42 lead. After taking a 42-41 lead at the led for 17:52 mark, Thiel led for the remainder of the game until Reed's go-ahead three.

SVC trailed by as many as 8 on multiply occasions, but the Bearcats used strong play by its forwards in Bennett, Kromka and Ryan Dutton to keep the score close.  Reed scored a layup over multiple Thiel defenders at the 4:35 mark to help SVC pull within 5 points (66-61).

Trailing 68-65, SVC's defense forced a Thiel turnover on a 5-second violation with 1:08 remaining. Bennett made 1 of 2 free-throws on the following possession to make it a 2-point game. Thiel controlled the ball with 34.9 seconds remaining, but after a missed shot the ball went out-of-bounds off a Thiel player with 8.7 seconds left.

After an SVC timeout, Reed went the length of the court to hit the game-winning three.

Reed finished with 8 points, while Dutton contributed 13 and grabbed 7 rebounds.  Terrance Holloway led Thiel with 20 points.

The Bearcats, now 18-2 (10-0 PAC) on the year with the victory, travel to Westminster College on Saturday (Feb. 2) for a PAC matchup at 3:30 p.m.
