The Saint Vincent college women's tennis cruised to a non-conference win over Muskingum University, 9-0, in a match held at Cambridge City Park in Cambridge, Ohio.
The Bearcats swept doubles play for the second straight day. Saint Vincent opened up doubles with identical 8-3 wins at first and third doubles.
Kate Palko and
Abby Jo Stull finished off doubles with a thrilling 8-6 comeback win at second doubles.
Maura Skelley rolled to a 6-0, 6-0 win at first singles to push the Bearcat lead to four. Palko clinched the match at third singles with a 6-0, 6-3 win. Also winning by straight sets were
Angela Popovich, Stull,
Livia Wentworth, and
Maria Hoh.
Saint Vincent now has a 3-1 record on the year. The Bearcats will return to action on Wednesday, September 25 at 4:00 pm when they take on NCAA-II California University of Pennsylvania at home.
