The Saint Vincent College women's tennis team traveled to Penn State-Altoona for a non-conference matchup. The Bearcats defeated the Lions, 7-2.

The Bearcats opened up the match with a sweep of doubles play highlighted by an 8-2 win by Maura Skelley and Angela Popovich at first doubles.

Popovich rolled to a 6-1, 6-0 win at second singles to put Saint Vincent ahead by four. Skelley clinched the match with a hard fought, 7-5, 6-1, win at first singles. Abby Jo Stull continued her undefeated season with wins at second doubles and fourth single, 8-5 and 6-3, 6-3, respectively. Maria Hoh claimed the final point for the Bearcats, a 6-4, 6-7(3), 10-6 win in the six hole.

With the win Saint Vincent extended its winning streak to four pushing the Bearcats' record to 5-1. Saint Vincent will return to action Sunday, September 29 for a home match against conference foe Washington & Jefferson. Match time has been changed to 12:00pm.
