NEW CASTLE, Pa. - In its final fall tune-up before the Presidents' Athletic Conference Championship, the Bearcat men's golf team placed 10th at the Westminster College Invitational.
Saint Vincent carded a four-man total of 363 to take 10th in a 12-team field at the Par 72 Avalon Field Club.Â
Sophomore
Zachary Summers led the Bearcats with a round of 86, tying for 37th in a 78-player field.Â
Sophomore
Brevin Urso fired a 91 to tie for 51st, one stroke ahead of
Colten McCutcheon, who tied for 56th.
Rounding out SVC's five competitors,
Alex Jones turned in a round of 96 and senior
Brendan Maher 110.
Host Westminster won the team title, with a team total of 303, led by individual medalist Michael Bell, who shot a one-under 71 to win by two shots.
The Bearcats will now prep for the two-day PAC Championship, scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 13, and Thursday, Oct. 14, at Avalon Lakes Golf Club in Warren, Ohio.
