The Saint Vincent's women's tennis opened its season with a tough 6-3 loss to Presidents' Athletic Conference foe, Geneva College.

Doubles play saw the Bearcats jump out to a 2-1 lead.
Maura Skelley and
Angela Popovich teamed up for an 8-2 win in the number one slot, while
Lauren Hartner and
Maria Hoh gritted out an 8-7(3) win at third doubles.

Singles was not as kind to SVC, as two tiebreakers went the way of the Golden Tornadoes and turned the tide of the match. Skelley was the lone singles winner for Saint Vincent, a 6-1, 6-0 win at first singles.

The Bearcats fall to 0-1 (0-1 PAC) to open the year and will return to action on Saturday, March 27 when they square off against the visiting Waynesburg Yellow Jackets. First serve is slated for 12:00 p.m. in Latrobe.
