The Saint Vincent College men's volleyball team welcomed Geneva College for an AMCC matchup. The Bearcats fell to the Golden Tornadoes, 3-0.
To start the first set, Geneva (8-5, 3-0) and Saint Vincent (1-5, 1-4) exchanged points to make the score 7-6 Geneva. Then, the Golden Tornadoes went on big run, scoring 19 of the next 28 points. Geneva claimed this set by a score of 25-14.
To begin the second set, the Bearcats rushed out to a 7-4 lead. This didn't last very long as the Golden Tornadoes went on a tear scoring 21 of the next 26 points. Geneva took this set easily by a score of 25-12. The Golden Tornadoes had the advantage with a 2-0 set lead.
The third set was more of the same story. Geneva rushed out to an 11-3 lead. The Golden Tornadoes didn't look back from there scoring 14 of the last 20 points. Geneva claimed the final set with ease by a score of 25-9.
Matthew Minkin led the team with 8 kills and
Ethan Kammerer added 4. Matthew Fuhrer led the team with 16 assists and contributed 6 digs as well.
Saint Vincent continues its season on Saturday, March 27 at Hilbert College in an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference matchup. Start time is 2 p.m.
