The Saint Vincent College baseball team returned to the diamond and traveled to New Wilmington, PA for a double header against Westminster College. The Bearcats split the double header, losing game one 10-2 and winning game two 6-2.

Game 1- Westminster 10, Saint Vincent 2
The Titans got on the board first in the top half of the first inning. A double by Frank Cinicola scored a run for Westminster giving them a 1-0, but the Bearcats would limit the damage as that remained the score heading to the bottom of the first.

Saint Vincent got a runner on in the bottom of the first, but it didn't produce any runs. Westminster scored six runs in the top half of the second inning. They had six hits in the inning, combining with an error by the Saint Vincent defense to increase their lead to 7-0.

The Bearcats were held scoreless in the bottom of the second, and they returned the favor, holding the Titans scoreless in the top of the third.

The Bearcats cracked the scoreboard in the bottom half of the third, as
Julian Santana hit a sacrifice fly to left field, scoring
Jordan Sabol, as the score was 7-1 at the end of the third.

Neither team was able to plate any runs in the fourth, as it remained 7-1 Westminster headed to the fifth inning.

The Bearcats plated another run in the bottom of the fifth. After two quick outs,
Matt Evans doubled to left, and then
TJ Dailey doubled to left center, which scored Evans, and that's all Saint Vincent got as it was 7-2 headed to the sixth inning.

Westminster shut the Bearcats bats down, shutting them out the rest of the way. The Titans plated one run in the sixth, and two more in the seventh, making the score 10-2, and that would be the final as Westminster won game one.

TJ Dailey, and
Jordan Sabol all had two hits apiece.
Zach Barberich pitched five and a third innings in relief, giving up four runs (three earned), seven hits, and struck out two in the loss.

Game 2- Saint Vincent 6, Westminster 2
The Titans picked up where they left off in game one, early in game two. They plated a run in the top of the first giving them an early 1-0 lead.

After the first neither team got much going until the top of the third, when Westminster plated another run, increasing their lead to 2-0.

The Bearcats answered back in the bottom of the third inning. Jeremy Kruezweis led off the inning with a triple. Then,
Joe Rudzinski hit a sacrifice flying scoring Kruezweis, making the score 2-1 Westminster heading to the fourth.

Saint Vincent held the Titans scoreless in the top half of the fourth, as they came to bat in the bottom of the inning. After a flyout, Dailey came to bat and he cracked a solo home run to left field, tying the game up at two headed to the fifth inning.

Neither team was able to plate any runs in the fifth and sixth innings, as the game remained tied 2-2 heading to the seventh.

Tom Bash continued his strong outing as he held Westminster scoreless in the seventh as well, and the Bearcats came to bat.

The Bearcats opened the game up as they plated three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning. First, Dailey added to his big day as he had a two RBI single to right field, scoring Evans and Sabol (4-2). Then, Jake Saiani hit a sacrifice fly to center scoring
Matt Evans, making the Bearcats lead 5-2, and that would be the score as the game headed to the eighth.

Westminter threatened to score in the top of the eighth but couldn't plate any runs. The Bearcats added an extra insurance run in the bottom of the eighth as Santana singled, and an errant throw scored Sabol (6-2).
The Bearcats held the Titans scoreless in the ninth, winning game two of the doubleheader 6-2 and splitting the series.

Bash picked up the win on the mound. He pitched seven innings, giving up two runs on three hits, and struck out five. Dailey had three hits and three RBI's, and Sabol added three hits as well in the Bearcats win.
