LATROBE, PA –
Joe Cillo has been named assistant coach for the Saint Vincent College men's lacrosse team. Cillo joins head coach
Zach Wilfong's Bearcat staff after a two-year stint as assistant coach at Lake Erie College.
"I am humbled and very excited to not only join Coach Wilfong's staff, but the Bearcat family," stated Cillo. "Having this opportunity to help foster the continued growth and development of the men's lacrosse program and the men who comprise it is an honor. I am very excited about the future of our program and my future here within the Saint Vincent family."

He will be an amazing resource for our student-athletes, program and athletic department. Joe shares our program's expectations towards culture, work ethic and understanding of the game. While earning his M.B.A. at Lake Erie, Cillo was responsible for the defense, and coached a first team All-Great Midwest Athletic Conference defenseman and a second team All-GMAC pick at goalie.
Prior to his time at Lake Erie, he coached multiple club teams in the greater-Cleveland area, including XCelerate and Force Knights.
Cillo enjoyed a stellar playing career at Seton Hill University. A defenseman, he earned multiple All-GMAC selections and was named USILA Division II All-America and to the USILA Division II Scholar All-American team. Over his four-year career, the Griffins went a combined 49-15, including a trip to the semifinals of the 2018 NCAA Division II championship tournament.
A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Cillo is a graduate of Saint Ignatius High School.
