LATROBE, Pa. (Nov. 11) – Two members of the Saint Vincent men's soccer team have earned All-Presidents' Athletic Conference accolades for the recently completed 2022 campaign.
Junior midfielder
Jose Hurtado (Santa Cruz, Bolivia/St. Benedict's Prep) and sophomore
Eduardo Richa (Sao Mateos, Brazil/St. Benedict's Prep) were each named Honorable Mention All-PAC per a vote of the league's head coaches.
A valuable two-way midfielder, Hurtado started 16 games for the Bearcats, finishing the season with 10 points, on three goals and four assists, along with 19 shots and 11 shots on goal. His top performance came in the Bearcats' 3-2 win over Washington & Jefferson, in which he recorded his first collegiate two-goal game. Hurtado also scored in SVC's draw against Westminster, while he picked up assists in four other contests.
Richa ended the season with nine points, on four goals and one assist, while leading the Bearcats with 44 shots. He scored goals in SVC wins over Pitt-Greensburg and Washington & Jefferson, while also netting tallies in ties against Westminster and Carlow. In the W&J contest, he recorded three points, as he also added an assist.
Along with Hurtado's and Richa's all-conference selections, senior
Sean Knipp (Munhall, Pa./Central Catholic) was named to the PAC Sportsmanship Team. He was a full-time starter on defense for the Bearcats, and scored his first collegiate goal in the Bearcats' 3-1 win over Penn State-Altoona. Over his four-year career, Knipp appeared in 58 games, with 53 starts.

Matt Davis's first season at Saint Vincent, the Bearcats posted their highest win total since the 2014 campaign.
