ROCHESTER, N.Y. (March 5) – Three members of the Saint Vincent College track and field team faced off against the top runners from the northeast at the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) Indoor Championships, hosted by Nazareth College.
Junior
Joey Bujdos turned in the Bearcats' highest finish, placing ninth in a field of 28 runners in the 800-meter run in a career-best time of 1:56.73. It marks the fastest time by a Presidents' Athletic Conference runner in the 800 this season by more than two seconds, and the fourth-best mark this season by an athlete in the NCAA Division-III Mid-Atlantic Region.
Senior
Sydney Green narrowly missed breaking her own school record in the mile run, turning in a time of 5:20.32 to finish 12th in a field of 26 runners.
Sophomore
Tim Patterson just missed recording a personal-best mark in the 3000-meter run, running to a time of 8:52.90.
Forty-five men's and women's track and field teams from the NCAA's Mid-Atlantic, Metro, Mid-East and Niagara regions took part in the two-day AARTFC indoor event.
