PITTSBURGH, Pa. (Mar. 28)- The Saint Vincent men's and women's track and field team's competed at the Carnegie Mellon Invite this past weekend.
To open the event on Friday night,
Grace Neubert set the program record for the Bearcats in the 5K. She raced a record breaking time of 17:22.02 for SVC.
Also, on Friday,
Lily Murphy raced a time of 4:54.47 in the 1500-meter race, finishing 14th in the field of 62 runners. Murphy also added a 23rd place finish with a time of 2:25.55 in the 800-meter race on Saturday.
On the men's side,
Noah Channel raced a time of 4:09.22 in the 1500-meter race to finish 25th in the field of over 60 runners. In the 110-meter hurdles,
Leo Thomas picked up a 12th place finish in the field of 24 runners, racing a time of 16.15 seconds for SVC.
On the women's side, in the 100-meter hurdles,
Caroline Kozera raced a time of 16.55 seconds for SVC.
Madelyn Hopsicker picked up a 15th place (12.81) result in the field of over 30 runners in the 100-meter dash.
In the men's 200-meter dash,
Bailey Simon picked up an impressive 8th place result in the field of 25 runners, racing a time of 23.34 seconds. In the 3K,
Grace Scoville finished 6th in a time of 11:19.65 for SVC as well.
Kenny Battistelli picked up a 5th place finish in the men's portion of the 3K with a time of 9:32.58.
Saint Vincent returns to action on Saturday, April 11, competing in the Westminster College Invite in New Wilmington.
