BEREA, Ohio (Apr. 18)- The Saint Vincent men's and women's track and field team competed at the 54th annual Sparky Adams Invitational on Saturday.
The Bearcats men's team placed 10th in the 17-team field, while the women's team finished 15th in the 18-team field on their side.
In the 200-meter dash, Saint Vincent had two top-10 finishers. Freshman,
Daniel Maddock placed 3rd in a time of 22.38 seconds.
Bailey Simon crossed right behind Maddock, finishing eighth in a time of 22.78 seconds.
Leo Thomas and
P.J. McNeal both added fourth place finishes for Saint Vincent as well. Thomas finished fourth (15.66 seconds) in the 110-meter hurdles, while McNeal picked up his fourth place finish in the 400-meter dash in a time of 49.87 seconds.
Also, in the sprinting portion of the invitational, Maddock finished 11th in the 100-meter dash in a time of 11.01 seconds.
In the distance events on the men's side,
Jordan Raynor picked up an eighth place finish in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:01.94 for SVC.
Noah Channel finished 10th in the same event with a time of 4:02.70.
On the women's side,
Adrianna Grimm picked up a fourth place result for Saint Vincent in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:11.75.
Cadence Smith placed ninth in the event, racing a time of 1:12.08.
In the 800-meter run, sophomore
Grace Neubert placed eighth in a time of 2:21.11.
Cassy Lanza added an 11th place finish for SVC in the 5K with a time of 19:06.18 for the Bearcats.
Saint Vincent returns to action on Thursday, April 30, competing at the 2026 Presidents Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships. The event will take place in Morgantown, W.V.
