HERMITAGE, Pa. (April 9) – The Saint Vincent men's golf team braved a wintry spring afternoon to tie for third at the Thiel College Invitational, held at Avalon Country Club at Buhl Park.
The Bearcats placed two individuals in the top-10 of the 38-golfer field.
Brevin Urso led the way with a round of 79 to tie for third individually, while
Alex Jones shot 81 to tie for ninth.
Colten McCutcheon was SVC's third man with a round of 84 to tie for 16
th, while
Anthony Rendulich rounded out the Bearcats' scoring five with a round of 87 to place 24th.
As a team, Saint Vincent posted a four-man total of 331 to tie host Thiel for third place. Westminster College topped the field with a team score of 322, one stroke ahead of second-place Grove City. Westminster's Portland Canovali carded a three-over 75 to take home individual medalist honors by a two-stroke margin over Grove City's Aidan Allen.
The Bearcats will be back in action on Monday, April 11, when they take part in the Washington & Jefferson Invitational at Southpointe Golf Club in Canonsburg.
