Brendan Cooley has been named the Presidents' Athletic Conference Men's Golf Rookie of the Week.
In last Wednesday's Moravian Classic, Cooley (Pittsburgh, Pa./Serra Catholic) placed second individually in a 60-player field with a three-over 75 to lead the Bearcats to a third-place finish in the 12-team field. Cooley's round consisted of 11 pars and two birdies, as he shot an even 36 on the second nine.
At Monday's Westminster College Invitational, Cooley again turned in the Bearcats' top individual finish, tying for 13th in a 65-player field with a round of 82, as Saint Vincent placed fourth out of 12 squads in the team standings.
Cooley and the Bearcats will be back in action on Monday, April 17, taking part in the Peter C. Rossin Memorial Invitational, hosted by Washington & Jefferson College at the Southpointe Golf Club.
