INDIVIDUAL RESULTS
The Saint Vincent Women's Bowling team hosted the Greater Pittsburgh Collegiate Classic in Greensburg, finishing third among a field of 10 teams.
NCAA Division 1 Mount St Mary's University won the team title, just one pin ahead of second place Alvernia University.
In Traditional games, Saint Vincent opened the day with a team score of 880 (176 average), led by
Sabine Strickland's 228 game.
Abby Justice added a 195. In game two, the Bearcats shot an 871 (174.2), with
Jackie Koehler shooting a 205.
The third game saw the team improve to a 968 score (193.6), with
Skyy Nicholls (221) and Justice (206), leading the way, while
Jackie Koehler added a 196. The fourth and final Traditional game resulted in the team's best score of the afternoon, a 972 (194.4). Justice had the top score with a 221, while Nicholls had a 206, and
Monique Koehler shot a 197.
The Bearcats then competed in 16 Baker team games, breaking the 200 barrier six times, including a pair of 235 games.
Justice led the team on the afternoon with an overall average for the day of 194.5. Her four-game total in Traditional play of 802 landed her 7th among the field of 68 bowlers. Strickland was 10th in traditional games with a 190.2 average, and finished the day with an average of 189.1.
Jackie Koehler was 12th individually (185.7).
The SVC junior varsity team also competed, led by freshman
Marissa Jones who was 14th in the overall standings, and first among all JV bowlers. Jones averaged 185 over four traditional games, and ended the day overall at 187.6.
Saint Vincent will be back in action the weekend of January 26-28, traveling to Altoona for the Red Flash Invitational, hosted by Saint Francis University.
