GROVE CITY, Pa. (Oct. 7)- The Saint Vincent women's tennis team was defeated 6-1 on the road at Grove City Monday afternoon.

The Bearcats (11-3, 4-3 PAC) fell in two of the three doubles matches, before Grove City (8-1, 5-1 PAC) won five of the six singles matches as well.
Carolina Walters kept her unbeaten streak alive in singles play as she was the lone Bearcat to earn a win in the PAC match. Walters victory once again came in the top singles spot for SVC.

The Bearcats fell in second and third doubles action, before
Isabella Lane along with Walters secured a 6-4 win in the top doubles position for Saint Vincent.

Despite the win in the top doubles spot, Grove City had already clinched the doubles point as the Bearcats trailed 1-0.

In singles play, Grove City picked up wins in second, fifth, and sixth singles as the Wolverines had clinched the match over SVC.

Walters followed with an impressive 6-2, 6-4 win in the top singles spot to cut the lead to 5-1 in favor of the Wolverines. Lane fell in a tough tiebreaker in number three singles action by scores of 2-6, 7-6, 8-10 to end the match for the Bearcats.

Saint Vincent will return to action tomorrow, Tuesday, October 8 when they travel to Westminster for their PAC regular season finale. First serves are scheduled for 4 p.m. in New Wilmington, Pa.
