GROVE CITY, Pa. (Feb. 14) – The Saint Vincent College men's swimming team closed the opening day of the 2023-24 Presidents' Athletic Conference Championships in second place.
On the opening night of the 2023-24 event, held at Grove City College, the Bearcats competed in a pair of relay events.
In the first race of the night, the 200-yard medley relay, the Bearcats saw two of its quartets place in the top-10. Saint Vincent's number-one foursome of
Jacob Dzurica,
Liam Randolph,
Colin Spehar and
Alex Leskovansky placed second in the event,
The Bearcat quartet of
Anton Seifert,
Jacob Bacasa,
Jacob Halter and
Robert Harrington took ninth, with a time of 1:45.45.
The Bearcats would close out the opening night of PACs by posting third- and 11th-place finishes in the 800 freestyle medley.
Robert Harrington,
Hayden Klein, Spehar and Leskovansky led the way, with a time of 7:31.27, while Halter,
Soma Burt, Bacasa and
James Clark combined for a mark of 7:59.25.
Saint Vincent totaled 96 points over the two events, just two behind Grove City College in the 5-team field. The Bearcats will open day two of the PAC Championships on Thursday, with prelims at 10 a.m., and finals at 6 p.m.
