GROVE CITY, Pa. (Feb. 15)- The Saint Vincent men's swimming team sits in third place after day two of the PAC Swimming and Diving Championship hosted by Grove City College.
Jacob Dzurica highlighted day two for the Bearcat men, placing 2
nd in the 50-yard freestyle event. Dzurica swam a time of 20.60 in route to his second-place finish.
Also, in the 50-yard freestyle event, Saint Vincent had three top-five finishers in the consolation portion of the event.
Alex Leskovansky placed 3
rd in the consolation ladder with a time of 22.07, while
Hayden Klein finished in 4
th (22.70 seconds) and
Soma Burt swam a time of 23.07 to finish in 5
th.
Liam Randolph finished in 4
th place for the Bearcats in the 200-yard IM. Randolph swam a time of 1:58.46 in the event.
Colin Spehar won the consolation portion of the event, swimming a time of 2:05.52 for the Bearcats.
In the 500-yard freestyle,
Jacob Bacasa recorded SVC's top finish, placing in 5
th with a time of 4:59.15. Also, in the event,
Robert Harrington placed 7
th, swimming a time of 5:04.25 for Saint Vincent.
The Bearcats concluded day two swimming in the 200-yard freestyle relay. The Bearcat men placed second in the event as the team of Dzurica, Spehar, Randolph, and Leskovansky swam a time of 1:26.78 for the Bearcats.
The Bearcats currently sit just three points behind Westminster for second place.
Day three of the event will begin with prelims tomorrow, Friday, February 16 at the 10 a.m., followed by the finals which kick off at 5:30 p.m.
