BEREA, Ohio (May 10)- The Saint Vincent track and field team competed at the Harrison Dillard Twilight Meet at Baldwin Wallace on Friday night.
It was a solid day for both the Bearcat men and women as the Bearcats broke a couple of school records along with setting multiple personal bests.
P.J. McNeal and
Miranda Guthrie both set the program record in the 400-meter dash. Guthrie ran a record time of 1:01.68 to finish in 14
th, while McNeal raced a time of 49.66 to not only break the school record, but also finish 16
th in the 45-runner field.
Three Bearcats set lifetime PRs in the 1500-meter race as well.
Tim Patterson led the way with a personal best 3:53.85 to finish in 16
th.
Aiden Jackson raced a time of 4:06.30 and
Jordan Raynor set a PR with a time of 4:08.11.
Patterson's time in the 1500 is the second fastest in program history, behind Bearcats two-time All-American Chansler Poole.
Brady Sundin raced a time of 16:09.41 for the Bearcats in the 5K race, while
Lily Murphy raced a time of 5:11.96 in the women's 1500-meter run.
Sundin and
Jeffrey Raynor both competed in the 10K as well, which was the final event of the night. Sundin placed second with a time of 33:03.11 and Raynor placed third with a time of 33:09.12.
The Bearcats will compete next week at the AARTFC Outdoor Championships hosted by SUNY-Cortland in Cortland, New York on Wednesday, May 15 and Thursday, May 16.
