LEXINGTON, Va. (Mar. 21)- The Saint Vincent women's track and field team opened their outdoor season at te Washington and Lee Carnival this weekend.
Individually,
Grace Neubert highlighted the meet for the Bearcats. In the 1500-meter race, Nuebert broke the Bearcats program record with a personal best time of 4:41.40 to finish fourth in the event for SVC.
The Bearcats 4x100 relay team also set the program record as well. The team of
Amanda Kane,
Gabrielle Dove,
Madelyn Hopsicker, and
Caroline Kozera raced a program record time of 50.33 seconds to finish in second place in the event.
Samantha Straub added a ninth place finish in the 400-meter hurdles, racing a time of 1:12.69 for the Bearcats.
Jane Huss finished seventh in the unseeded portion of the 1500-meter race as well, racing a time of 5:09.02 for SVC.
Saint Vincent returns to action on Friday, March 27 as they compete at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational. The event is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. on Friday.
