LATROBE, Pa. (Sept. 11)- The Saint Vincent women's tennis team was defeated by PAC foe Allegheny by a 6-1 margin on Wednesday afternoon.

The Bearcats (3-1, 1-1 PAC) fell in all three doubles matches to the Gators (2-1, 1-0 PAC), before Allegheny went on to win five of the six singles matches over Saint Vincent as well. SVC's lone win of the afternoon came from
Carolina Walters in the top singles spot.

In doubles play, the Bearcats closest defeat came at the top position.
Isabella Lane along with Walters fell 6-4 to Emiliia Grydnieva and Julia Musseler after a hard-fought match.
Marisa Hooper and
Julia Runk fell in the third doubles position by a score of 6-3 as Allegheny took a 1-0 lead in the match.

Saint Vincent fell in the first five singles matches. Lane fell in a close match in third singles by scores of 7-5, 6-3. Walters ended the match for SVC with an impressive 2-6, 6-4, 10-7 victory against Grydnieva to give the Bearcats their lone point of the afternoon.

SVC returns to action on Saturday, September 14 when they play host to Washington and Jefferson in another PAC matchup. The match is scheduled to begin at 12 noon at the SVC Courts.
