GENEVA, Ohio (Jan. 25)- The Saint Vincent College women's indoor track and field team competed at the SPIRE Midwest Invitational on Saturday morning.

Kristen Prince opened the afternoon with a victory for the Bearcats in the 5000-meter race. Prince raced a time of 18:38.30 to win the 5K in the 24-runner field to start SVC off on a strong note in the event. With her time in the event, she qualifies for the NCAA regionals later this season.

Miranda Cincotta had a solid day as well for Saint Vincent racing to a school record time of 5:08.79 in the one-mile run. Cincotta breaks her own record of 5:12.37, which she set last February. Cincotta's record time was good for a second-place finish in the 78-runner field.

Also, in the one-mile run,
Cassy Lanza finished 22
nd with a time of 5:24.44, while
Lily Murphy raced a time of 5:36.04 to finish middle of the pack in the event.

In the 60-yard dash,
Gabrielle Dove raced a time of 8.59 seconds to finish middle of the pack in the event for the Bearcats.
Madelyn Hopsicker finished just behind Dove, racing a time of 8.76 seconds for Saint Vincent.

Lanza paced the Bearcats in the 800-meter race. Lanza placed 44
th in the 81-runner field, racing a time of 2:32.39.
Lily Murphy placed just behind Lanza, racing a time of 2:33.77 for Saint Vincent.

In the 200-meter dash
Miranda Guthrie placed in the middle of the pack, racing a time of 28.40 seconds. Dove finished just behind Guthrie in the same event, racing a time of 28.69 for SVC. Hopsicker also competed in the event, recording a time of 29.16.

Grace Scoville was Saint Vincent's top finisher in the 3000-meter race. Scoville raced a time of 11:50.92 for the Bearcats in the event.

Saint Vincent returns to action on Friday, January 31 and Saturday, February 1, traveling to Youngstown State to compete in the Youngstown State Mid-Major.
