STEUBENVILLE, Ohio (Oct. 28)- The Saint Vincent women's volleyball team fell to Franciscan 3-0 in a road Presidents Athletic Conference matchup on Tuesday night.
The Bearcats (6-13, 5-8 PAC) fell by set scores of 25-20, 26-24, and 25-22 to the Barons (10-11, 6-7 PAC).
Dakota Hershberger recorded a 13-kill, 18-dig double-double for the Bearcats.
Meegan Williams also recorded a double-double with 13 kills and 15 digs for Saint Vincent.
Sani Jones added 21 assists, while
Bailey Green recorded 13 assists and 10 digs of her own.
Lauren Fox recorded five blocks and two service aces in the loss for SVC.
Saint Vincent led the match in digs with 73, while Franciscan recorded 67 digs. Kills were 51-43 and assists were 45-40, both in favor of the Barons. Franciscan led in blocks by a slight 8-7 margin as well.
The Bearcats recorded a .177 hitting percentage, while Franciscan hit .291.
SVC will return to action on Saturday, November 1, when they host a tri-match against Westminster and Pitt-Greensburg. The Bearcats will first take on Westminster in a PAC matchup at 1 p.m., before taking on UPG at 5 p.m. in a non-conference match.
