MEADVILLE, Pa. (Oct. 6)- The Saint Vincent women's tennis team fell by a score of 7-0 at Allegheny on Monday evening.
The Bearcats (7-6, 3-5 PAC) were defeated in all the matches at Allegheny (9-0, 7-0 PAC) on Monday.
Carolina Walters played a thrilling match in her final regular season PAC matchup in her SVC career. The senior won the opening set 7-5, before falling 1-6 in the second set as the match went to a third set tiebreaker. In a lengthy battle, Walters fell 5-10 in the tiebreaker to end the match.
Saint Vincent has qualified for the PAC playoffs, which begin next week. Their opponent and day/time of the match are to be determined.
The Bearcats will return to action on Wednesday, October 8, hosting La Roche in a non-conference doubleheader at the SVC courts. The match is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. on Wednesday with senior day festivities taking place prior to the match.
