GREENSBURG, Pa. (Feb. 16)- The Saint Vincent women's tennis team earned a 6-1 non-conference win against Carlow on Sunday afternoon at the Greensburg Racquet Club.

The Bearcats (14-4) opened their non-conference slate of spring matches by winning all three doubles matches to win the doubles point and take a 1-0 lead in the match.

Bella Baumgardner and
Emily Pierce opened the match by picking up a 6-1 victory at third doubles.
Abby Donnelly and
Lydia Lieb followed with a 6-0 win at number two doubles to clinch the doubles point for Saint Vincent.

With the doubles point already in hand,
Isabella Lane and
Carolina Walters earned a 6-1 victory at the top doubles spot.

Walters continued her impressive afternoon, notching her 19
th consecutive singles match victory dating back to last spring. She picked up a 6-0, 6-1 win in the top singles spot to increase SVC's lead to 2-0.

After the Bearcats fell at second singles,
Marisa Hooper earned a 6-3, 6-1 victory in number five singles to push Saint Vincent's lead back up to two (3-1).

Saint Vincent won the final three singles matches of the afternoon as well. Lane recorded her second victory of the afternoon with a 6-0, 6-1 win in the number three singles position to clinch the match for the Bearcats.

Donnelly then added a 6-0, 6-1 victory at number six singles, before Lieb won 6-2, 6-2 at number four singles.

The Bearcats will return to action on Sunday, March 2 as they travel to Hilton Head, S.C. for their annual spring break trip. Saint Vincent will take on Johnson & Wales University and Bridgewater College in Hilton Head.
