GROVE CITY, Pa. (Feb. 20)- The Saint Vincent men's swimming team sits in third place after the opening day of the Presidents Athletic Conference Championship Meet.
The Bearcats recorded a third and fourth place finish in the two relay events to open the 2025 championship.
In the first relay of the night, Saint Vincent finished third in the 200-yard medley relay. The team of
Jacob Dzurica,
Liam Randolph,
Robert Harrington, and
Alex Leskovansky swam to a second place finish in a time of 1:35.30 to finish third. W&J finished second, while Grove City won the event.
In the 800-yard freestyle relay,
Gabe Yant,
Giovanni Guido, along with Harrington and Randolph finished in fourth place for Saint Vincent. The team swam a time of 7:19.94 for the Bearcats. Grove City (1st), W&J (2nd), and Westminster (3rd) rounded out the top three in the final event of the opening night.
Saint Vincent totaled 86 team points on the opening night to sit in third place. Grove City is currently in the lead with 116 points, while W&J sits in second, just ahead of SVC with 92 points.
The first full day of the championship will take place tomorrow, Thursday, February 20 with prelims beginning at 10 a.m. The finals for the first full day will begin later in the day at 5:30 p.m.
