GROVE CITY, Pa. (Feb. 21)- The Saint Vincent men's swimming team competed at the third day of the PAC Championship meet on Friday.

Jacob Dzurica added to his already impressive resume for the Bearcats, recording another PAC Championship, while setting a PAC record in the same event. In the 100-yard backstroke, the junior swam a PAC record time of 49.34 seconds for Saint Vincent, which is also a Saint Vincent school record as well. His time was three seconds faster in the finals than in the prelims.

Giovanni Guido finished seventh to open the night for SVC in the 400-yard IM, swimming a time of 4:16.82. Alex Leskovanksy followed that up with a top five finish in the 100-yard butterfly, swimming a time of 53.28 seconds for the Bearcats. 

Robert Harrington followed with a sixth place finish in the 200-yard freestyle, swimming a time of 1:46.93 for SVC. Liam Randolph added an impressive fourth place finish for Saint Vincent in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 56.78 seconds, dropping almost a full second for SVC in the finals. Sam McCall finished eighth in the same event with a time of 1:03.79.

Saint Vincent concluded the night with a second place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay. The team of Dzurica, Leskovansky, McCall, and Hayden Klein swam a time of 1:26.92 for the Bearcats.

The Bearcats currently sit in third place heading into the final day of the event with a total score of 390 points. W&J sits in second place, while Grove City is in the lead heading into the final day.

The final day of the PAC Championship Meet will take place tomorrow, Saturday, February 22. The prelims will begin at 10 a.m. with the finals beginning at 5:15 p.m.
