LATROBE, Pa. (Apr. 5)- The Saint Vincent men's lacrosse team breezed past Bethany with a 24-8 victory under the lights at a rainy UPMC Field on Saturday night.
The Bearcats (6-5, 3-0 PAC) controlled the whole way throughout the match. Saint Vincent led 15-2 at the half, before outscoring the Bison (5-7, 1-3 PAC) 9-6 in the second half to cruise to the PAC victory.
It was a big night for the Bearcats offense, where seven different players recorded at least three points. 
Justin Wodarek had a career night for Saint Vincent, totaling five points (three goals, two assists), including the 100th point of his Saint Vincent career. 
Liam McCall led the Bearcats with six points, scoring two goals, while dishing out four assists.
Jonathan Nagy also totaled five points for Saint Vincent, recording two goals, while dishing out two assists. 
Luca Blevins scored three goals and dished out one assist. 
Reed Hunt (two goals, one assist), 
Connor Smith (three goals), and 
Neal Ritchie (one goal, two assists) all totaled three points for SVC as well. 
Ryan Rosenberger added two goals, while 
Eli Hartle assisted on two goals for Saint Vincent.
Owen Rogers, 
Carter Haid, 
Jacob Crumling, 
Brad Mockenhaupt, and 
Tony Ferreira all scored one goal each in the win as well. 
Justin Vezzi, 
Colin Coleman, and 
Logan Helman all recorded one assist each for SVC.
Mason Krabbe was an impressive 13-14 in faceoffs, recording 11 ground balls for the Bearcats as well. 
Brady Beard went 14-17 in faceoffs, scooping up nine ground balls of his own. 
Cam Herring added four ground balls and one caused turnover, whole 
Isaiah Francis and 
Tyler Harpst both scooped up three ground balls each. 
Shawn Ryan also picked up two GB's for the Bearcats in the win.
Garrett Ritts, 
Jackson Blow, and 
Tyler Friend all recorded saves for Saint Vincent in the win as well.
Saint Vincent out shot the Bison by a 64-19 margin. SVC was 20-22 on clears, while the Bison were 20-27 on their end. Faceoffs were 29-5 in favor of the Bearcats. The Bearcats limited Bethany to go just 1-4 on extra-man opportunities, while Saint Vincent was 3-4 over the course of the game.
SVC will return to action on Wednesday, April 9 with a road PAC matchup at Westminster. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. in New Wilmington, Pa.
