TRAFFORD, Pa. (Apr. 7)- Two Saint Vincent College men's lacrosse players earned Presidents Athletic Conference Player of the Week honors for their performances on the field last week.

Brady Beard earned the Specialist of the Week honors, while junior goalie
Garrett Ritts was named the PAC's Defensive Player of the Week.
Beard (Shepherdstown, W.Va./Spring Mills) earns the honor after a dominant week for Saint Vincent in faceoffs. In the Bearcats two wins, Beard went 24-33 in faceoffs, while scooping up 15 ground balls as well. The senior went 10-16 with six ground ball pickups in the Bearcats win at Allegheny to open the week. He followed that up by going 14-17 with nine ground ball pickups in the Bearcats blowout win against Bethany.
Ritts (Shaker Heights, Ohio/Shaker Heights) picks up the award after going 2-0 in net for the Bearcats. Ritts made 11 saves and allowed just four goals in Saint Vincent's wins against Allegheny and Bethany. Ritts opened the week with nine saves, allowing just three goals in SVC's win against Allegheny to open the week. He followed that up two saves in one quarter of play against Bethany on Saturday night.
Beard, Ritts, and the Bearcats will return to action on Wednesday, April 9 with a road PAC matchup at Westminster. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. in New Wilmington, Pa.
