SPARTANBURG, S.C. (Sept. 20)- The Saint Vincent women's cross country team placed ninth at the NCAA Division-III Pre National Championship race in South Carolina on Saturday morning.
The Bearcats were led by sophomore
Grace Neubert who placed seventh in the over 100-runner field. Neubert raced a time of 22:18.7 for Saint Vincent in the 6K race.Â
Cassy Lanza recorded a top-50 finish for SVC as well, racing a time of 24:09.5 to finish 48th overall.
Lily Murphy was the next Bearcat to cross the finish line, racing a time of 24:39.9 for Saint Vincent.Â
Grace Scoville and
Lauren Schemmel crossed next for SVC. Scoville raced a time of 25:24.5 and Schemmel crossed at 25:50.6. Freshman
Jane Huss finished next for SVC, racing a time of 26:01.9.
The Bearcats also sent runners to compete at the Allegheny College Classic. At Allegheny,
Emma Hyder raced a time of 28:53 and
Teresa Grimm crossed the finish line at 30:07 for the Bearcats.
Saint Vincent returns to action on Friday, October 3, competing in the Lehigh University Paul Short Run.
