YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (Feb. 26)- The Saint Vincent men's track and field team placed seventh at the Presidents Athletic Conference Indoor Championships at Youngstown State on Thursday night.
Highlighting the championships for the Bearcats was
Will Stickman who claimed the PAC Championship in the mile for the Bearcats. Stickman won the race after running a personal best time of 4:25.13.
Jordan Raynor also ran a PR in the race, finishing in third with a time of 4:25.41. Raynor added an eighth place result in the 3000-meter race (9:09.98).
The Bearcats Distance Medley Relay team had a solid performance as well, winning the DMR. The team of Stickman,
P.J. McNeal,
Liam Wilson, and
Noah Channel raced to a PAC Championship winning time of 10:40.48. McNeal added a sixth place (49.58) finish in the 400-meter race.
Channel also added a top five finish, finishing fourth in the 800-meter race with a time of 1:58.32 for the Bearcats.
At his first PAC Championship,
Daniel Maddock was also impressive for the Bearcats. Maddock finished fifth in the prelims of the 60-meter dash with a personal best time of 6.98 seconds to qualify for the finals. In the finals of the event, finished seventh with a time of 7.04. The freshman also added a fifth place finish in the 200-meter race. He raced a personal best time of 22.37 for the Bearcats in the event.
Leo Thomas picked up a top five finish for Saint Vincent as well. Thomas raced a personal best time of 8.91 in the prelims of the 60-meter hurdles, qualifying for the championship. He followed with another personal best time of 8.85 to finish in fourth in the event.
In the men's high jump,
Lucas Measel earned a top ten finish with a personal best mark of 1.84m to finish eighth.
The Bearcats will return to action on Friday, March 6 competing at the AARTFC Indoor Championships at The Armory in New York.
