The Saint Vincent College women's bowling team has been ranked #13 in the nation by the National Collegiate Bowling Coaches Association, ranking all teams in all NCAA divisions, along with NAIA and national Club programs.
Â
The Bearcats moved up four spots from the most recent list, and the #13 ranking is the highest in school history in the NCBCA poll.
Â
So far this year, Saint Vincent has won five of 12 tournaments, and the team is currently #5 in the nation in US Bowling Congress Collegiate points, among 163 programs.Â
Â
Earlier this week, SVC cracked the top-20 for the first time in a separate poll, the International Bowling Media Association's list of top teams, coming in at #19, again among all collegiate teams nationwide, representing NCAA, NAIA and Club programs.
Â
Last month, Saint Vincent received its highest-ever national ranking in the All-Divisions NCAA poll conducted by the National Tenpin Coaches Association, ranked #21 as the only Division III school in the nation to make the top-25. The next NTCA poll is due next week, and will include a separate Division II-III poll, with the Bearcats expected to break into the top-10.Â
Â
Saint Vincent has the highest winning percentage in the NCAA this year (94.8%) with a 37-2 record.Â
