TRAFFORD, Pa. (Mar. 3)- Two Saint Vincent men's volleyball players earned Presidents Athletic Conference Player of the Week honors.
Senior
Zebadiah Wyant was named the PAC's Offensive Player of the Week, while freshman
Jack Ryan was named the PAC's Newcomer of the Week.
Wyant totaled 38 kills while hitting .259 helping the Bearcats to a 2-0 week across conference play. In Wednesday's 3-1 win at Hiram, Wyant recorded a season-high 20 kills along with 10 digs to complete his first double-double of the season, along with two service aces.
Wyant tallied another big night with 18 kills (hitting .314) and three aces in Friday's four-set win at Geneva. He also contributed six digs and an assisted block in the victory.
Ryan averaged 11.0 assists, 2.13 digs and 0.88 blocks per set during Saint Vincent's 2-0 week. In Wednesday's four-set victory at Hiram, Ryan recorded his second consecutive double-double with a career-high 51 assists and 10 digs. He also contributed two assisted blocks, a service ace and a kill in the win.
Ryan followed with 37 assists, seven digs and a career-high five blocks (two solo, three assisted) in Friday's four-set triumph at Geneva. He added three kills and another service ace in the victory.
The Bearcats return to action this Friday, March 6 with a road matchup at Thiel. The match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. in Greenville.
