TRAFFORD, Pa. (Feb. 24)- Saint Vincent freshman men's volleyball setter Jack Ryan was named the Presidents Athletic Conference Newcomer of the Week.

The freshman setter averaged 9.57 assists and 2.29 digs per set helping the Bearcats to a perfect 2-0 week.

In the Bearcats sweep at Bethany, the freshman totaled 23 digs, four digs, three blocks (two solo, one assisted), a service ace and a kill. He went on to record the first double-double of his collegiate career with 44 assists and 12 digs in the important four-set win over Grove City on Saturday in the Carey Center.

Ryan's 44 assists in the win tied a four-set program record for the Bearcats.

Ryan and the Bearcats return to action tomorrow, Wednesday, February 24 with a road PAC matchup at Hiram. The match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. tomorrow night in Ohio.
