NEW WILMINGTON, Pa./ LEWISBURG, Pa. (Apr. 11)- The Saint Vincent men's track and field team competed at both the Westminster College Invitational and the Bucknell Bison Invite on Saturday.
Will Stickman and
Jordan Raynor both ran lifetime bests in the 1500-meter race for the Bearcats at Bucknell. Stickman and Raynor finished back-to-back in the event, with Stickman running to his PR time of 4:02.25 and Raynor racing a time of 4:02.43 for SVC.
Noah Channel also ran a lifetime best in Lewisburg as well. Channel raced a time of 1:56.92 in the 800-meter dash.
It was a big day for
Daniel Maddock at Westminster. The freshman recorded two top-10 finishes for the Bearcats in New Wilmington. He finished third in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.19 seconds, while finishing sixth in the 100-meter dash in a time of 11.19 seconds for SVC.
Also, in the 100-meter spring,
P.J. McNeal finished seventh with a time of 11.21 seconds, while finishing ninth in the 200-meter dash in a time of 22.62 seconds.
Bailey Simon recorded a fourth place (22.41 seconds) for the Bearcats in the 200-meter dash as well.
In the 110-meter hurdles,
Leo Thomas finished in the top-10 (8th) with a time of 15.70 seconds.
In the distance events,
Brady Sundin and
Kenny Battistelli finished second and third respectively in the 10K. Sundin raced a time of 34:30.28, while Battistelli finished in a time of 34:58.63 for the Bearcats.
In the field events,
Jalani Campbell recorded a ninth place result in the triple jump with a mark of 12.84m.
The team of Campbell, Maddock, McNeal, and Simon finished second (42.97 seconds) in the 4x100 meter relay to conclude the event for Saint Vincent at Westminster.
Saint Vincent returns to action on Saturday, April 18, competing in the Baldwin Wallace Sparky Adams Invitational in Berea, Ohio. The invitational is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. next Saturday.
