Wittenberg University controlled much of the game, handing Saint Vincent 1-0 loss on the first day of the Carnegie Mellon University Tournament in Pittsburgh.

The SVC defense played well, but the team failed to produce much offense. Wittenberg took advantage of a defensive mistake late in the game to score the only goal and secure the victory.

With the loss, Saint Vincent drops to 0-2 on the year and will face a powerful CMU squad on Sunday.
