TRAFFORD, Pa. (Sept. 15)- Two student-athletes from the Saint Vincent men's soccer team earned Presidents Athletic Conference Player of the Week awards for their performance last week.
Cameron Mulvanny was named the Offensive Player of the Week, while
Kameron Rock earned the Goalkeeper of the Week honor.
Mulvanny scored once and assisted on two goals over the course of the Bearcats 2-0 week. He scored the game-winner in the 83rd minute of a 2-1 win at Penn State-Altoona, while picking up an assist in the game as well. He followed that up with another assist on the Bearcats lone goal in a 1-0 win at Penn College on Saturday afternoon.
Rock on the other hand also played a critical role for SVC over the course of their 2-0 week. The senior goalkeeper totaled 12 saves and allowed just one goal in the two wins. At Penn State-Altoona, he totaled seven saves, while allowing just one goal. He followed that up with five more saves in a 1-0 shutout victory at Penn College on Saturday.
Mulvanny, Rock, and the Bearcats return to action on Wednesday, September 17, hosting La Roche in a non-conference matchup. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. under the lights at UPMC Field on Wednesday night.
