Bearcats snap losing skid

The Saint Vincent men's tennis team saw its two-match losing streak come to an end, with a 7-2 victory over Presidents' Athletic Conference rival Thomas More College.

The victory improves the Bearcats' overall record to 4-5 on the year, while it moves SVC's conference record to 3-1.

Saint Vincent opened the match by winning all three doubles contests.  Dan Chirdon and Sean Malone teamed up for an 8-2 win in the number one spot, while the number two doubles tandem of Nathan Walch and Tyler Camaione were 8-0 victors.  Saint Vincent took the third doubles match by forfeit.

The Bearcats would then clinch the win by taking four of six singles matches.  Chirdon was victorious in the number two spot, 6-2, 6-0, while Malone picked up the shutout win in the three spot, 6-0, 6-0.  Camaione won in number four singles 6-2, 6-1, while Nick Latterner won the sixth singles match by forfeit.

Saint Vincent will return to action on Saturday, traveling to PAC foe Waynesburg University for a match beginning at 12 noon.
