Bearcats blank crosstown rival

The Saint Vincent men's tennis team posted its second shutout win of the season, defeating crosstown rival Pitt-Greensburg 9-0 at the Greensburg Racquet Club.

With the non-conference victory, the Bearcats improve to 6-6 on the year.

In doubles play, Dan Chirdon and Sean Malone teamed up for an 8-0 victory, while Nathan Walch and Tyler Camaione won 8-1 and Nick Latterner and Sean Lehman 8-4.

All six of the aforementioned players were two-time winners on the day, as each won in singles competition.  In the number one spot, Chirdon won 6-4, 6-3, while Walch was victorious in the two spot, 6-1, 6-0.  Malone (6-2, 6-0), Camaione (6-0, 6-2), Lehman (6-0, 6-1), and Latterner (6-1, 6-2) were also victorious, clinching the clean sweep for the Bearcats.

Saint Vincent returns to action on Monday, traveling to Presidents' Athletic Conference foe Washington & Jefferson for a match scheduled to begin at 3:00pm.
