The Saint Vincent women's lacrosse team saw visiting Kenyon score four times in the first five minutes of the first half and was unable to recover, falling to the Ladies by a 13-8 score.

Liz Basile-Louison continued her strong start to the season, posting a team-high four points, with three goals and one assist.  Alyssa Lang also added three goals for the Bearcats, while Kelly Naugle was a third player to record a multi-point game, going for one goal and one assist.

The Kenyon Ladies would get off to a fast start, taking a 1-0 lead just 36 seconds into play, and eventually upped their lead to 4-0 with 23:35 left in the opening half.  Lang's first goal of the day, assisted by Naugle, would put the Bearcats on the board 90 seconds later, but Kenyon would respond with two goals in a five-minute span to take a 6-1 lead.

Basile-Louison and Nora Posival would score back-to-back goals to cut the Kenyon lead to three, 6-3, with 13:06 left, but the Ladies would out-score the Bearcats 2-1 over the final 10 minutes of the half, with the lone SVC goal coming from Naugle, to lead 8-4 at the intermission.

The teams would trade goals in the opening stages of the second half, before the Bearcats scored three unanswered, with two from Basile-Louison and one from Lang, to pull to 10-7 with 11 minutes left in regulation.  It was as close as the hosts could get, however, as the Ladies out-scored the Bearcats 3-1 over the final eight minutes to pick up the victory.

For the game, the Ladies out-shot the Bearcats 33-21, and held a 23-19 advantage in ground balls.  Kerry Tittinger and Megan Fisher had three ground balls apiece to share the lead for SVC, while goalie Meghan Reiser made 10 saves in goal in the losing effort.

Kenyon was led on the day by Emily Nichols, who posted an eight-point day, with seven goals and one assist.  Charlotte Green added two goals, while Leah Sack had three assists.

The Bearcats (1-4) will now have a six-day layoff before returning to action next Saturday, when they travel to Washington & Jefferson College for a 1pm contest.
