Five players scored in double figures as the Bearcats erupted for 48 points in the first half to cruise to an 81-52 win at Grove City in Presidents' Athletic Conference action.
With the win, the Saint Vincent women's basketball team improves to 16-3 overall and 11-1 in PAC play. Grove City falls to 4-15 on the season and 3-9 in league action.
The two teams began the game by trading baskets over the first minute-plus of action before SVC engaged a 10-0 run to stretch the lead to 12-2 with 13:48 remaining in the first half. Junior guard

Elle Collins each recorded four points during the run which was capped by a jumper from freshman guard
Jessica Welch.
Grove City scored six of the next 10 points before SVC raced to a 16-4 run to stretch the lead to 32-12, highlighted by eight points from Welch and six points from senior guard
Emily Fenton. Welch's first three pointer of the game came with 10:44 remaining in the half while Fenton followed with a traditional three-point play over a minute later. At 8:23 to go, Welch hit another trifecta before Fenton's second three-point play of the half came 28 seconds later to make it 32-12.
With SVC leading by 18, 36-18, with just over four minutes left, junior guard
Devin McGrath scored six-straight points for the Bearcats, on a free throw, a jumper and a three-pointer which came with 2:50 to play in the half and made it 42-23 SVC. After a layup from senior forward
Brittany Sedlock and two free throws from Collins in the final minute of the half, the two teams headed into the locker room with SVC ahead, 48-28, the Bearcats' highest scoring half of the season.
SVC started the second half with five points on a layup from Sedlock and a three pointer from Collins, 53-28. Five minutes into the half, a Fenton three-pointer and McGrath jumper over 26 seconds made the score 60-34. The two teams traded baskets for the rest of the game before SVC scored four points in the final 30 seconds on layups from junior
Kendra Burchfield and freshman
Kelley Sedlock.
For the game, SVC shot 55.4 percent (31-of-56) from the floor and 42.1 percent (8-of-19) from beyond-the-arc.
McGrath posted game highs of 17 points, nine rebounds, six assists, two blocks and two steals. Fenton added 16 points and five assists while Mansur scored a season-high 13 points. Collins and Welch each reached double digits with 12 and 10 points, respectively.
Hannah Jo Coneby led Grove City with 12 points and six rebounds and teammate Leah Gibson added 10 points. The Wolverines connected on 48.9 percent (23-of-47) from the field and just 16.7 percent (2-of-12) from three-point range.
The Bearcats return to action on Wednesday, Feb. 1, hosting Thiel in the Carey Center at 5:30 p.m.
