Men's Tennis

SVC remains undefeated in conference play

BOX SCORE

The Racquet Club Crazies were in full throat today as the Saint Vincent men's tennis team cruised to its sixth victory of the season against the Bethany Bison.

The Bearcats turned in their second 9-0 win in the last three matches, in the process improving to 3-0 in PAC play.  Saint Vincent lost only 10 games in the entirety of the match.

The Bearcats first through third singles players (Tony Costantino, Anthony Nemanic, and Sean Malone) were absolutely dominant.  None of the three lost a single game; however, Nemanic was especially impressive, finishing his match well ahead of his teammates.

While Dan Chirdon did lose three games in the second set, he finished his fourth singles match in style with a leaping backhand volley.

Nick Latterner and Chris Andrejcik also had stellar performances, losing only three games in four sets.

All three doubles teams won easily while dropping only four games.

Saint Vincent has nearly a week off before its most important match of the season against the Grove City Wolverines next Wednesday.  Grove City beat the Bearcats 9-0 last year on the way to winning its 22nd consecutive PAC title.
