NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. (Jan. 26) - Sophomore guard Elle Collins scored a career-high 25 points and senior forward Devin McGrath flirted with a triple-double as the Saint Vincent women's basketball team earned a 66-46 win at Westminster.

The Bearcats improve to 14-5 on the season and win their 10th game in the Presidents' Athletic Conference to move to 10-2 in the league. Westminster drops to 8-11 overall and an even 6-6 in the PAC.

Collins' 25 points came on a season-best six three-pointers, marking the first time a Bearcat recorded six threes in a game since Emily Fenton accomplished the feat on Jan. 25, 2012 against Chatham.

McGrath posted a full stat line to earn PAC Sports Network Player of the Game honors. The 5-9 senior tallied 10 points, 14 rebounds, nine assists, four blocks and four steals in the win.

In the first half, both teams struggled from the field as SVC shot 28.0 percent (7-of-25) and Westminster converted just 25.9 percent (7-of-27). SVC began the game up 6-3, but Westminster went on an 11-0 run that lasted nearly five minutes to open up a 14-6 lead. A Collins three-pointer stopped the run and the sophomore guard would score the next 12 SVC points as the Bearcats tied the game, 18-18, with three minutes remaining in the period. The teams went into the locker room tied, 21-21.

Saint Vincent began the second half on a 17-4 run over a 5:21-span. Collins buried two three-pointers during the run, while junior forward Ariel Rocco and sophomore guard Ally Schmidt combined for the other 11 points, 38-25.

McGrath scored her first points of the game at the 13:29-mark of the second half as SVC continued to build its lead. The Bearcats would eventually close the game on a 9-1 run as SVC posted the 66-46 win.

After struggling from the field in the first half, the Bearcats shot a blistering 65.2 percent (15-of-23) from the floor in the second period to finish 45.8 percent (22-of-48) for the game.

Saint Vincent posted an impressive 18 assists on 22 field goals while committing 15 steals on 21 Westminster turnovers. The Titans held a 36-28 advantage on rebounds.

The Bearcats will return to action on Wednesday, Jan. 30, hosting Thiel at 5:30 p.m. in the Carey Center.
