With the win, the Saint Vincent women's basketball team improves to 18-5 on the season and 14-2 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference, clinching no worse than second place in the regular season standings. Bethany drops to 7-16 this year and 5-11 in the PAC.

SVC started the game on an 8-2 run that included two layups by senior forward Jordan Clinton. A three-point play by junior forward Taylor Mathers and another layup by Mathers put SVC ahead 20-15 with 8:28 to play in the period.

The Bison kept the game close throughout the first half, as SVC was only able to build it's lead as big as seven points which came with 44 seconds left and sent SVC into the locker room with a 32-25 lead.

Senior forward Devin McGrath started the second half by scoring eight of SVC's first 11 points, on two layups and two jumpers as SVC pushed the lead to 11 points, 43-32, with just under 15 minutes to play in the game.

Following a Bethany basket, jumper by senior guard Melissa Mansur started a 10-0 run that lasted just over two minutes. Mansur then recorded a steal on the ensuing possession and finished the traditional three-point play following her fastbreak layup. A free throw by freshman guard Ashlee Darby and two jumpers by junior forward Ariel Rocco pushed SVC ahead, 53-34, with 12:14 remaining.

Rocco continued her scoring with a jumper at 11:46 before Mathers posted back-to-back layups to make it a 22-point game, 59-37.

McGrath scored eight points over the final six-plus minutes and sophomore guard Elle Collins made four-of-four free throws to seal the win.

For the game, SVC shot a solid 53.1 percent (34-of-64) from the field, while failing to record a three-pointer (0-for-9) for the first time in more than three years.

McGrath led all players with 26 points and 11 rebounds to post her 13th double-double of the year. Clinton finished with 15 points while Mathers (nine points) and Rocco (eight points) combined for 17 points.
