BOX SCORE
The Saint Vincent College men's tennis team improved to 3-0 in the PAC with an 8-1 victory over the Westminster Titans.
Due to adverse weather conditions, the match was moved to the North Beaver Indoor Tennis Center.
All three doubles teams achieved easy wins, as Saint Vincent lost a total of only six games. The highlight of the match occurred when
Anthony Nemanic put a hole in the wall with a thunderous overhead.
At first singles, David Cenker trailed 4-1 in the first set, but then he staged a comeback and took that set 7-5 before rolling through the second set 6-0.
Anthony Nemanic, playing the third position, had an easier match. Nemanic, the reigning PAC Player of the Week, beat the Titans' Brad Thomas 6-0, 6-1.
Tony Costantino lost only one game while playing second singles while
Sean Malone won 6-0, 6-0 at the sixth position.
Mike Matisi provided Westminster with their only point of the afternoon when he beat
Nathan Walch in three sets at fourth singles.
The Bearcats return to action on Monday at Washington & Jefferson. This is the second year in a row Saint Vincent has started conference play at 3-0.
