BOX SCORE

LATROBE (April 20) - Saint Vincent senior Alyssa Lang broke the single-game school record with nine goals as the Bearcats rolled past Waynesburg, 23-8, on Senior Day.

With the win, the Saint Vincent women's lacrosse team extends its school record for wins in a season as it moves to 10-3. The Yellow Jackets drop to 2-8 on the year.

Lang needed just 21:49 to break the record of eight goals, which was previously held by Hannah Doblick (2004) and Shoko Asakura (2005). Her record-setting goal came with 8:11 remaining in the first half on a pass from Kaley Burkardt.

SVC led, 15-8, at halftime and added five more goals in the second half, including the first career scores for senior defenders Kerry Tittinger and Jess Drury, to post the eventual 23-8 win.

Nora Posival led all players with 12 points, including 11 assists, which matches the previous NCAA Division III record for assists in a game before she recorded 16 assists nine days ago against Franciscan. Lang finished with 10 points, adding an assist to her nine goals. Senior Hannah Hackman closed out her home playing career with seven points, including a hat trick. In total, 13 different Bearcats recorded a point.

Michelle Mitchell earned the win in goal, improving to 10-3 with six saves in 60 minutes.

SVC closes out the regular season on Wednesday, April 24 with a 7 p.m. match-up at Washington & Jefferson. The two times will then meet once again on Friday in the first round of the first-ever Presidents' Athletic Conference tournament at Thiel.
