#6 ranked Thomas More defeated Saint Vincent College by the score 89-64, handing the Bearcats their first Presidents' Athletic Conference loss.

The Saints got off to a strong start in the early going with a 14-4 lead through the first six minutes of the game.

The visitors continued to put points on the board, while SVC followed with help from Ally Schmidt's four points through the next several minutes, while Thomas More still led 25-9 with about 12 minutes to play in the first half. Schmidt was the leading scorer for the Bearcats at the half with eight.

However, Thomas More would surge through the next eight minutes, being led by Sydney Moss who had 16 points in the first half. With less than a minute to play the hosts drew back within 15 but would go into the half down 47-30.

The Saints started the second half off on fire, going on a 21-6 run giving them a 68-36 lead. Down 32, SVC tried to get back into with their usually solid three-point shooting, however, they struggled to connect.

Looking for answers, the Bearcats got help from Brianna Zajac and Drew Meeker who dropped six points each in the span of four minutes.

Thomas More never looked back, finishing the final seven minutes with at least a 20-point lead.

Saint Vincent was led by Schmidt, who equaled her season-high of 14 points along with seven rebounds. Taylor Mathers was one rebound shy of a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds while Zajac finished with a career-high 11 points. Meeker was also in double-figures with 12.

Thomas More had help from Moss, the leading scorer in the Division III level, who dropped 29 points along with 12 rebounds. Point guard, Devin Beasley also broke a Thomas More record with 18 total assists.

With the loss, SVC drops to 10-5 (7-1, PAC) while Thomas More stays perfect at 15-0 (8-0, PAC). The Bearcats next host PAC-foe Waynesburg on Wednesday evening at the Carey Center.
